My Lived Experience | Why I Created Thyme Therapy
I know what it feels like to live in constant anxiety—not just for myself, but for my child too.
I've walked the path of parenting four children, one with ADHD, big emotions, and physical reactivity. There were days of exhaustion, confusion, and deep worry. With a lot of personal work, both on myself and through the incredible effort my child made, we made it through. Today, they’re thriving: independent, empathetic, and full of potential.
I’ve also lived with anxiety and phobias of my own—storms, dentists, and the overwhelming pressure of living life according to other people’s expectations instead of my own truth.
All of these experiences have shaped who I am and led me to where I am today. I’m now finishing my Bachelor of Counselling, combining real-life experience with professional training so I can support others in a meaningful way.
